Smart screen capture
Oriloq offers several screen capture modes unified in a single menu, as well as a scrolling capture to grab the entirety of a long page.
Three capture modes
Since version 1.0.11, the three capture modes are grouped in a single menu for clarity:
- →Full screen — captures the entire active display.
- →Selected area — drag with the mouse to define the portion of the screen to capture.
- →Active window — automatically captures the foreground application, without having to point at it manually.
Scrolling capture
Since version 1.0.6, Oriloq can capture an entire page thanks to automatic scrolling and pixel-by-pixel stitching. Ideal for preserving a long document, a discussion thread or a complete web page without having to manually piece together multiple screenshots.
- •Progressive scrolling detected automatically.
- •Pixel-by-pixel stitching with optimized handling of overlaps at junctions (1.0.7).
- •Improved detection of uniform backgrounds and content at the bottom of the page.
Use with the multimodal chat
Captures can be injected directly into the local Gemma chat for visual analysis (table reading, image transcription, description). With the default local chat engine, captured contents never leave your Mac.
Permissions
Screen capture requires the Screen Recording permission in System Settings → Privacy & Security. See Authorizations.
