Transcription and dictation for macOS
Oriloq turns speech into clean, usable text on your Mac: dictate live in any application, transcribe audio and video files, and keep everything local and offline on Apple Silicon.
Real-time transcription
Press the shortcut, speak, and your words land as text in the app you are working in — meetings, calls, notes, chat, code. Transcription runs on your Mac, so the text keeps up with your voice without a server round trip. See how live capture works in the transcription documentation.
Dictation everywhere
Write emails, notes, prompts or messages by voice in any app that accepts text — the words arrive where your cursor is. Shortcuts, trackpad gesture and overlay options are described in shortcut settings.
Audio and video files
Already have a recording? Transcribe audio and video files locally, then turn the transcript into something useful — summarize, structure or translate it with Smart Actions. File and audio handling is covered in audio settings and Smart Action settings.
Local by design
Every local engine runs on your machine with open-source models accelerated by MLX on Apple Silicon: by default no cloud, no audio sent to a server. Optional cloud engines are an explicit opt-in. It works on a plane, on a train, in a dead zone — and it gets faster with each new Mac. More on the local and offline transcription page, privacy details in the privacy policy.
